From singing in local choirs, to performing in several live plays and taking the stage at prestigious venues, Amanda Ducorbier effortlessly captured the attention of her audiences from a young age. Friends and family of Ducorbier took notice of an unforgettable presence and talent early on. By the age of 17, Amanda's musical resume included work with a range of musical powerhouses in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Some of Ducorbier’s biggest vocal influences range from artists such as Mariah Carey and Amy Winehouse to Etta James and Billie Holiday. This singer/songwriter's sound is best described as "power soul pop."
Recently, Ducorbier traveled from coast to coast recording with widely respected production houses such as Luke Walker of Pulse Recordings in Burbank, CA, Grammy- nominated Matt Tortorich of Atomic Studios in New Orleans, and Grammy-nominated Eric Krasno and Adam Deitch of Fyre Dept (Royal Family Records) in Brooklyn, NY. In the summer of 2012, Amanda was a contestant on NBC’s ‘The Voice’ Season 3.
Wendell Brunios & Tom Hook
Wendell Brunious, is a member of a prominent New Orleans musical family. Brunious grew up in New Orleans playing trumpet and singing, and did his first recording when he was only 9 years old. Since then, he has performed with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band (a stint that lasted more than 23 years), the Olympia Brass Band, the Tuxedo Brass Band, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band; Wynton Marsalis, Lionel Hampton, Clark Terry, Dr. John, and Harry Connick, Jr.
Tom Hook, born in Kansas City, began his 35 year relationship with New Orleans with the Delta Queen Steamboat Company, where he worked as a solo entertainer, band leader, cruise director, and ultimately Director of Entertainment. Also spending several years as a staff musician and featured entertainer at Walt Disney World, he has toured the world as a solo artist and with his own Black Dog Jazz Band.
Together they bring to the stage ninety years of show business savvy. With a repertoire that is unmatched in the industry, Wendell and Tom tailor every performance to fit the audience, drawing from a body of music that encompasses over 150 years of American Popular song. Simply there is no better duo, anywhere.
Antoine Diel was born in Manila, Philippines. Hailing from a musical family, Antoine sang from childhood in church as well as competitions and public events. Antoine grew up in Los Angeles, where he studied in the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, earning Bachelors and Masters of Music Degrees - Vocal Arts.
Antoine's credits range from operas, musicals, plays and solo and choral concerts in secular and sacred music, as well as ADR/voice-over and singing on recordings and demos for movies and various projects. He now calls New Orleans home and astounds audiences nightly with his outstanding soulful singing. His band, the New Orleans Misfit Power, features some of the hardest-working musicians in the city.
